Martin Sheridan and James Saville Set To Fight For Shock N Awe Title

For the past two years the Shock N Awe promotion has been going from strength to strength taking big steps to consistently improve and continue to put on well matched and competitive fights. Over those two years since the hard work has become noticed by the UK MMA audience things have taken a natural route and started to blow up. The demands for bigger fights, bigger names and more action are simply an evolution of a successful formula. And it sets a pace for promoters Brian Adams and Gareth Johnson that they always seem to have no problem matching stride for stride.

So this brings us to 2013 and the question on everybody`s lips is "Can Shock N Awe still maintain this level of moving forward"? Losing the bantamweight champion Davey Grant to an exclusive CageWarriors contract seems like a very deep hole to fill, or is it ??????

Well it seems it`s not a problem at all.

Martin Sheridan 6.1.0. fighting out of Shudan Dojo set to take on AVT`s James "Scraps" Saville 10.5.0. for the U135lbs Shock N Awe Bantamweight strap.

So on March 9th the biggest venue in the Portsmouth area The Mountbatten centre will house three title fights as well as sixteen other competitive match ups including talent from the north to the south of England.

So once again a statement has been made as two of the UK`s top talent bantamweights are set to go fist to face in the epicenter of south coast MMA. A fight that will have the hardcore fans salivating and trying to work out the technicalities that will see one of these young men have his hand raised by referee David Swann as 1200 crazed Shock N Awe fans raise the roof off the arena.
Let's give you a little info on both of these young fighters that have just put pen to paper.

Quote - I'm really excited and grateful to be fighting James Saville for the Shock and Awe Bantamweight title. I was very disappointed when i had to pull out of our scheduled fight last year due to injury. I know how good James is and I'm a big fan of his fights, he has been a top 10 fighter in the division for some time. This is where I want to be, so I've got to go through him to do it. It's going to be a bad ass fight and one not to miss.

Quote - " I`m really looking forward to getting back in the cage, since my last fight I've been on a bit of a journey of self reflection and in turn changed a few things in my life. I've had 3 fights pull out on me, which has been sad and frustrating, but it's all good, this has given me a hunger I've never had. I'm glad martin is all healed up, will be good to face off against him, should be a pretty sweet fight I'm excited."
