Oli Thompson vs. Neil Grove to Collide at UCFC, July 27

It has just been revealed that veteran UFC heavyweights Oil Thompson (pic.) and Neil Grove will clash under the UCFC banner on July 27th at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium.

Thompson (10-5) was released from the UFC last summer after suffering disappointing losses to Shawn Jordan and Philip De Fries. He caught the eye of the Las Vegas based promotion after stringing together a five fight win streak, during that time he captured the UCMMA heavyweight title and defended it against Mark Potter. Since parting ways with the UFC Thompson has gone 1-1 since November 2012.

Knock-Out machine Neil "Goliath" Grove (12-6-1) is a former Bellator Heavyweight Finalist and UFC veteran. On his way to the Bellator final he defeated fellow UFC vet Eddie Sanchez and Alexey Oleinik. Grove has also competed inside the Octagon at UFC 95 back in February 2009. He was last seen in action at UCMMA 31 where he defeated Tomasz Czerwinski via TKO.

With Ian Freeman vs. Ken Shamrock and Ricco Rodriquez vs. Neil Wain signed this card is sure to set Doncaster alight on July 27th.
