Cage Warriors 54 Weigh-In Results

The weigh-in's for tomorrows Cage Warriors 54 event in Cardiff have just been completed. Most of the fighters came in on or below the agreed weights, Brad Wheeler, Kris Edwards, Shaj Haque and Mark Platts came in slightly over the set limits and have a further two hours to cut the extra weight and make the weight.

CWFC Middleweight Champion Jesse Taylor and Challengr John Phillips both came in dead on the 185lb middleweight limit ahead of their championship bout.

Bantamweight Bout: Brett Johns 135.9lbs vs. James MacAlister 135.7lbs
Bantamweight Bout: Mark Platts 137.4lbs vs. Martin McDonough 134.9lbs

Preliminary Card:

Flyweight Bout: Kris Edwards 126.7lbs vs. Shaj Haque 126.3lbs
Welterweight Bout: Leon Kenge 168.4lbs vs. Matt Inman 169.9lbs
Lightweight Bout: Brad Wheeler 156.5lbs vs. Jamie Rogers 154.8lbs

139lb Catchweight Bout: Steve McCombe 138.6lbs vs. Joe Orrey 139.4lbs
Welterweight Bout: Owain Parry 170.6lbs vs. Rob Leybourne 169.3lbs

Brad Wheeler has two hours to cut 0.5lbs
Kris Edwards has two hours to cut 0.7lbs and Shaj Haque has two hours to cut 0.3lbs.
Mark Platts has two hours to drop 1.4lbs

Shaj Haque makes weight at 125.7lbs. However Kris Edwards is unable to cut any further weight and will give up 25% of his purse to Shaj Haque.

Mark Platts and Brad Wheeler both hit their respective weight limits within the two hour period.
