Yushin Okami vs. Luiz Cane Set For UFC 150UFC 150, which goes down August 11, 2012, at the Pepsi Center in Denver Colorado, is filling up nicely, Addicts.
Today it was announced that in middleweight action, former top ranked Japanese star, Yushin Okami, will welcome former light heavyweight, Luiz Cane, to the 185lb division.
30 year old Yushin "Thunder" Okami (26-7) has been a consistent, highly ranked, yet unspectacular middleweight for many years now. Since joing the UFC back in 2006, Okami has gone 10-4 in the division, only losing against Anderson Silva, Rich Franklin, Chael Sonnen, and most recently, in a major upset in front of his home crowd at UFC 144, Tim Boetsch. This is the first time Okami has lost two straight, and he will look to get back to winning ways by spoiling Cane's 185lb debut.
31 year old Luiz "Banha" Cane (12-4-1) was once seen as one of the top prospects in the UFC's 205lb light heavyweight division, rattling off three straight wins over Rameau Sokodjou, Steve Cantwell and Jason Lambert. Things then turned bad for the Brazilian, as he was knocked out three times in four fights. The loss was enough to send Cane down to 185lbs, in the hope of putting together another run.
