Michael Bisping Talks About Knee Injury And Scheduled Return (Video)
The UFC injury curse hit hard this week, with the UFC's middleweight division being the unfortunate victim. First we heard that Brian Stann had suffered an injury and was forced from his UFC on FOX 4 bout with Hector Lombard. With UFC needing a high profile opponent for Lombard, the man they looked to was Michael Bisping, who was scheduled for a bout with Tim Boetsch at UFC 149. Unfortunately, it turned out Bisping himself was carrying round a torn meniscus, and was unable to fight either man.
Speaking to Karyn Bryant at MMAHeat.com, Bisping went into some detail about his injury, how it came about, and how long he is likely to be on the bench.
It has been confirmed since this interview took place that Hector Lombard will now face Tim Boetsch at UFC 149, and Shogun Rua will now face Brandon Vera in the UFC on FOX 4 main event.
