Two More Bouts Added to UIC 8
The first fight is a stand out light heavyweight bout between Matt Gray and Mark Percival has been added to the main card.
Matt Gray has made an impressive start to his MMA career going 2-0 in his first two bouts. Fighting out of The Combat Athletics Academy in Liskeard, Gray has stopped both of his opponents to date. Gray was last in action last month where he scored a first round submission victory over Raivo Sven Vidins at Staydown MMA XI.
Percival (3-1 Pro record) who fights out of Force MMA will be keen to put on a strong display for the UIC crowd after suffering a disappointing loss at UIC 7 in February. With all of Percival's fights to date ending before the first round is out, the Cheltenham crowd will be in for a treat when these two light heavyweights lock horns on August 4th.
The other bout announced will see another Force MMA fighter, Anthony Ferguson in action against Brazilian Bruno Marques in the 62kg division.
Marques (4-1) fights out of Trojan Free Fighters/ Chute Boxe and will be looking to add another victory to his record. With an aggressive stand-up game that is typical of the Brazilian Chute Boxe team, Marques comes to fight every time. After going 4-0 in his first four bouts, Marques suffered the first loss of his career last month to Sam Gilbert and will be looking to make a statement against Ferguson.
Ferguson who is also known for his striking background will be looking to better his own (2-2) MM A record at the expense of Marques. A European Muay Thai Champion, Ferguson is unlikely to be taking many backward steps against the aggressive Marques in a bout that could quite easily be a fight of the night contender.
After defeating Jamie Pritchard at UIC 7 Ferguson will be looking to extend his winning run under the UIC banner.
Ultimate Impact 8 will be headlined by the trilogy fight between Lee Caers and Ben Constantine for the UIC Welterweight Title. The event will be staged at the Cheltenham Recreation Centre on August 4th.
